A former deputy juvenile correctional officer pleaded guilty Wednesday to punishing three youths under her care by rubbing their shoes in urine when they had accidents and was immediately sentenced to 30 days of community service and placed on three years of informal probation.
Tamie Marie Bieker of Santa Ana, 38, also was ordered to enroll in a yearlong child abuse program, according to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.
Bieker pleaded guilty to three misdemeanor counts of child abuse.
In three separate incidents involving three teenage boys last year, Bieker rubbed the youths’ shoes in urine as punishment on July 21, July 28 and Aug. 6. In two of the cases, the defendant refused to let a 17-year-old and a 13-year-old go to the bathroom, according to prosecutors.
