A fire destroyed a single-family home in Laguna Beach Thursday night, killing a pet bird.
No people were injured in the blaze, which was reported about 6:15 p.m. in the 1200 block of Summit Drive, Sgt. Tim Kleiser of the Laguna Beach Police Department said.
The flames were knocked down by 7:24 p.m., Kleiser said.
The cause of the fire was not immediately apparent, Kleiser said.
