The Newport Beach Police continued its investigation Wednesday to find whoever shot people on the street with projectiles, later determined to be pellets, in three separate incidents during this past week.

The first incident occurred Sunday shortly after 7 p.m. in the 1900 block of Sherington Place. A man was loading items into his van when he heard three pellets strike the vehicle. He then felt a fourth pellet strike him in the chin.

The second event occurred hours later, at 10:30 p.m. A man was getting into his car when he heard something strike the car door. He then felt a pellet strike him in the upper back.

The third incident occurred on Monday at 4 p.m. A male jogger was hit by a pellet on his inner biceps.

The injuries were all minor.

Anyone with information on the shooter was asked to contact Newport Beach Police Detective Justin Morouse at (949) 644-3762 or at jmorouse@nbpd.org.
