Disney is famous for strict rules at its theme parks, and no selfie sticks on roller coasters is one rule customers cannot violate.
One rider’s selfie stick prompted operators to halt the California Screamin’ roller coaster at Disney California Adventure.
The ride was stopped about 5:10 p.m. Monday and was shut down for around two hours after a male rider pulled out the banned item, a Disney representative told The Orange County Register.
“That’s just normal procedure,” spokeswoman Suzie Brown told the newspaper.
Passengers were off-loaded, which took about 30 minutes, and the ride reopened just after 7 p.m., according to The Register, which reported that selfie sticks were banned at the park last year.
