
Orange County Sheriff’s detectives were investigating a shooting into a car early Tuesday morning in a quiet area of San Clemente, authorities said.
The attack, which occurred in an alley between Calle Canasta and Calle Campana, was reported about 12:10 a.m., according to Orange County Sheriff’s Lt. Downing.
The car windows were shot out, Downing said. At least one person suffered cuts from flying glass but no one as wounded.
The people in the car then drove to a nearby 76 gas station to report the shooting.
A motive for the shooting was unknown. Downing said he didn’t know if it was gang-related.
No suspect information was immediately available.
