A surfer Tuesday pulled the body of a man out of the water in Huntington Beach, police said.
Police were notified at 11:20 a.m. about the discovery of the body near Pacific Coast Highway and Seapoint, according to Huntington Beach police Officer Jennifer Marlatt.
“He had been in the water for some time,” Marlatt said.
The man, who authorities were working to identify, was nude and there were no outward signs of trauma to consider his death suspicious, Marlatt said.
Police checked missing persons records but did not make an immediate match, Marlatt said.
State park rangers have taken over the investigation, she said.
