A young woman struck by a pickup truck in Fullerton succumbed to her injuries Wednesday, police said.
Jessica Rangel of Anaheim, who turned 21 on June 5, was struck by a Toyota Tacoma just before 10:20 p.m. Tuesday as she crossed Valencia Drive at Lemon Street, according to Fullerton police Sgt. Kathryn Hamel.
Rangel was rushed to UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange, where she was pronounced dead at 1:13 p.m. Wednesday.
The 39-year-old man behind the wheel of the pickup truck waited for police and was cooperative, Hamel said. It does not appear that alcohol or drugs contributed to the collision, she said.
