Orange County Sheriff-Coroner investigators Wednesday identified a man whose body was found in the ocean in Huntington Beach this week.
The victim was 20-year-old Andy Guevara of South Gate, according to the sheriff-coroner’s office.
A surfer pulled Guevara’s body out of the water Tuesday.
Police were notified at 11:20 a.m. about the discovery of the body near Pacific Coast Highway and Seapoint, according to Huntington Beach police Officer Jennifer Marlatt.
“He had been in the water for some time,” Marlatt said.
The victim was nude and there were no outward signs of trauma to consider his death suspicious, Marlatt said.
State park rangers have taken over the investigation, she said.
