A man was stabbed to death in Santa Ana Saturday morning by a suspect who also stabbed and kidnapped a woman from a blood-soaked home.
Details were still sketchy, but the alleged killer and the kidnap victim were later found. The suspect was arrested and the woman was in stable condition.
Police were summoned at 1:30 a.m. to a residence on 1261 S. Oak Street, east of the Orange (57) Freeway, where they discovered the man dead from stab wounds, Sgt. Kanan Blake of the Santa Ana Police Department said.
The victim was dead when officers arrived, Blake said.
Witnesses on scene said the suspect stabbed a man and a woman, then dragged the woman to a black SUV before departing the scene, according to Blake.
Police in Brea — which is about 14 miles away from the residence — then informed authorities in Santa Ana they had the suspect in custody, Blake said.
The woman, who suffered a wound to the upper torso, was listed in stable condition early today.
Authorities were not identifying any of the parties involved at the early stages in the investigation.
