A man was shot and killed at a motel in Anaheim and a suspect was taken into custody.
The suspect and victim had been fighting, and the shooting occurred at about 5:30 p.m. at the Akua Motor Inn at 1018 E. Orangethorpe Ave., Anaheim Police Sgt. John Bailey told The Orange County Register.
The victim was taken to UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange and pronounced dead at 7:07 p.m., Supervising Deputy Coroner Kelly Keyes told The Register.
It was not immediately clear what prompted the fight, Bailey told The Register.
Police have not released the name of the victim or suspect, according to The Register.
