A homeless man was stabbed by several assailants near a park in Anaheim Tuesday and critically wounded, police said.
Officers responded shortly after 1:45 a.m. to reports of a man bleeding in the 1100 block of La Palma Parkway and found the victim in a parking lot, said Anaheim Police Sgt. Daron Wyatt. Before he was taken to a nearby hospital, the victim told officers he had been jumped by several men, Wyatt said.
Officers searched the immediate area and arrested one man, police said. The suspect was later identified as Joshua Shawn Ryan, 23, who Wyatt said is also a transient. He was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and robbery.
