
A 15-year-old boy was killed Sunday morning when a Honda Civic and a Scion collided on the Orange (57) Freeway in Fullerton, authorities said.
The boy was later identified as Fullerton resident Luis Torres, according to the coroner’s office.
The collision was reported at 2 a.m. on the southbound Orange Freeway just north of the Yorba Linda Boulevard off-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Torres was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the coroner’s office.
At least one patient was taken to UCI Medical Center, the CHP said.
A SigAlert was issued at 2:21 a.m. shutting down the two right lanes of the southbound Orange Freeway. It was cancelled at 5:09 a.m.
