Police Friday were hunting a  tall, thin ski-masked gunman who robbed a Chase bank branch in Seal Beach.

They believe he may be the same man who robbed other banks in Orange County and the South Bay.

The suspect was armed with a silver, long-barreled revolver when he entered the bank at 801 Pacific Coast Highway Thursday, according to Seal Beach Police.

It was unclear how much money the suspect made off with when he fled on foot.

The bandit was described as white, about 6 feet 3 inches tall with a thin build. He had a ski-type mask over his face and wore a black or gray shirt and dark-colored jeans.

“The suspect matches the description of a bank robbery suspect from recent cases out of both Laguna Beach and Torrance,” said Seal Beach Police Sgt. Michael Henderson.

Anyone with information about the suspect was urged to call Seal Beach Police Detective Pete Krok at (562) 799-4100, extension 1110.
