A man was in custody after leading authorities on a slow-speed chase through Orange County.
The pursuit began on Dyer Road at the Costa Mesa (55) Freeway in Santa Ana where police noticed the vehicle the suspect was driving did not have license plates, leading them to believe it may have been stolen, according to Cmdr. Matt Sorenson of the Santa Ana Police Department.
Officers tried to stop the vehicle, and when the driver failed to comply, a chase ensued, Sorenson said.
The chase lasted a little more than 30 minutes and the suspect traveled through Tustin and Anaheim before returning to Santa Ana where the driver parked in a parking lot and was taken into custody Monday.
No one was injured as a result of the chase, Sorenson said.
