An armed masked man who may be in his late teens robbed a fast-food pizza restaurant in Los Alamitos of an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.
The robbery at Ameci Pizza Kitchen in a strip mall occurred around 9:05 p.m. Thursday in the 10800 block of Los Alamitos Boulevard.
The suspect walked in with a handgun and demanded money from the cashier, according to Lt. Maria O’Connell of the Los Alamitos Police Department.
The suspect fled the restaurant on foot.
He was described as white, 5 feet 8, with a thin build wearing jeans and a black sweatshirt and a beanie. A red bandana was covering his face, O’Connell said. It wasn’t clear how authorities knew the robber was in his late teens despite the mask.
