Authorities hunted Sunday for a 41-year-old man who had a stormy dating relationship with a mother of three found dead inside her Huntington Beach home.

Marylou Sarkissian, 50, was found dead about 1 p.m. Friday after a friend of the suspect, identified as Jason Becher, asked police to conduct a welfare check at the woman’s home in the 9000 block of Litchfield Drive based on comments that Becher allegedly made, according to Huntington Beach Police spokeswoman Jennifer Marlatt.

Sarkissian’s name was released Saturday by the Orange County coroner’s office.

The victim’s 16-year-old son was home at the time but had no idea that his mother was dead, KCAL9 reported from the scene.

Becher was last seen in a white, 2015 four-door Lexus ES350 with California license plate 7MZP290, according to Marlatt, who said the suspect is believed to be heading to either the Anaheim area or Las Vegas.

Sarkissian had recently broken up with the suspect following a turbulent relationship, according to KCAL9. It was unclear if she and Becher lived together.

Becher was described as white, 6-feet-1 inches tall, 195 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts was urged to call 911.
