Police Sunday were investigating alcohol as being a possible contributing factor in the death of a motorcyclist in a Fullerton intersection.
The motorcyclist was identified as Cameryon Jackson, 25, of Anaheim, according to the coroner’s office.
The crash between the bike and an SUV was reported at 6:24 p.m. Saturday in the intersection of Highland and Orangethorpe avenues, according to Fullerton police Sgt. Jon Radus.
While alcohol may have been a factor in the collision, he said, there was no word of who authorities believe may have been drinking. No other details were yet available.
Jackson’s 2016 Yamaha crashed into a 2002 Isuzu SUV, Radus said.
Jackson was rushed to UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange, where he was pronounced dead at 7:01 p.m. Saturday, according to the coroner’s office.
The 47-year-old man driving the SUV remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, he said.
The preliminary investigation indicated the Isuzu made a left turn toward Highland Avenue in front of the motorcycle while eastbound on Orangethorpe while the motorcycle was westbound, Radus said.
“As a result, the motorcycle struck the Isuzu, causing the motorcyclist to be ejected off of it.”
