Graffiti’s not just for the young, as a 56-year-old man was in custody Wednesday on suspicion of vandalizing two walls with gang graffiti, the Santa Ana Police Department reported.
Police were called about 10 a.m. Tuesday when a man was spotted vandalizing a wall in the 1800 block of West First Street with gang graffiti, according to Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna.
A witness recorded the crime with video and was giving it to an officer when there was another report of gang graffiti on a wall in the 200 block of South Franklin Street, Bertagna said.
Joe Fugencio Mirabel, 56, was arrested running from the scene, Bertagna said.
