It’s not much of a Christmas eve Saturday for a female driver who was in custody after she led police on a wild, lengthy freeway chase through Orange County.
The driver, whose age and identity were not released, was wanted for for an alleged assault with a deadly weapon. Initial reports indicated she was being chased by police as she drove south on Interstate 5, toward San Diego County.
However, she was finally stopped on the northbound side of the 5 Freeway, near Red Hill Avenue in the Tustin area, according to the California Highway Patrol.
She initially refused to get out of the vehicle she was driving, but was eventually arrested Friday night, according to the CHP.
There were no reports of injuries during the incident.
