An overturned big rig that spilled its load of granite on the northbound Santa Ana (5) Freeway in Santa Ana prompted the closure of the four right lanes Tuesday.
The crash occurred a few minutes before midnight near Lincoln Avenue, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The four right lanes, as well as the Lincoln Avenue offramp, are expected to be closed until 6 a.m. for cleanup of the granite slabs, the CHP said.
There was no immediate report of injuries.
