
Authorities Sunday were trying to determine why a 65-year-old man who loved surfing died in the waves off Bolsa Chica State Beach in Orange County near Huntington Beach.
Fountain Valley resident Steven Cameron was pulled unresponsive from the ocean at about 8:20 a.m. Saturday, according to the Orange County coroner’s office.
Cameron was taken to Huntington Beach Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, the coroner’s office said.
There was no word of what may have happened to cause the death of the surfer.
