A man pleaded guilty Friday and was immediately sentenced to four years in prison for making an explosive device in his Anaheim mobile home while broadcasting it live on Facebook.
Jeff Edward Reece, 34, pleaded guilty to possession of an explosive and attempted arson of an inhabited property, both felonies.
On the evening of Oct. 28, Reece made a Molotov cocktail as he turned up his stove burners to fill his RV with gas, all while on Facebook Live, according to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.
Police evacuated his neighbors and spent two hours negotiating with the defendant before he surrendered, prosecutors said.
