An armed man, whose face was obscured by a surgical mask, held up a Garden Grove store.

The robbery was reported Wednesday in the 13500 block of Euclid Street, said Sgt. John Reynolds of the Garden

Grove Police Department.

The sales clerk told responding officers a male wearing a dark gray hoodie, dark gray pants and a light blue surgical mask over his face displayed a handgun from his pocket and demanded money.

The clerk gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash from the register, Reynolds said. The suspect fled on foot southbound Euclid Street, he added.

A search of the area by officers resulted in an officer locating a piece of evidence in the area, but police did not disclose what that was. The suspect was not located.

He was described as black, in his 30s, 6 feet tall and 220 pounds.

Any witnesses were asked to call the Garden Grove Police Department at (714) 741-5704.
