A car slammed into a bakery-restaurant in Westminster Wednesday, sending two patrons to area hospitals.
The car crashed into Au Coeur de Paris, 9441 Edinger Ave., about 11:40 a.m., according to Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Larry Kurtz.
The driver — a man in his 40s — avoided injury, but a woman in her 40s who was in the business sustained minor injuries and another patron was considered a “trauma” patient and was also hospitalized, Kurtz said.
“The structural integrity of the building is fine,” Kurtz said, adding the damage was mostly limited to the front window the car crashed through.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
