A 50-year-old man accused of molesting a teenage boy and supplying him with marijuana and other drugs will return to court May 15 for a pretrial hearing after he pleaded not guilty to felony and misdemeanor charges.
Christian Ulysses Reed Reed, who grew up in San Clemente, is suspected of having “inappropriate contact with teenage boys since the 1980s,” according to a sheriff’s statement.
Investigators began looking into Reed in March and served a search warrant at his San Clemente residence. He was arrested Thursday and is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
Reed is charged with one felony count each of furnishing controlled substances to a minor and furnishing marijuana to a minor older than 14; and three counts each of molestation and child annoyance and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, all misdemeanors.
He also faces a sentence-enhancing allegation of using a minor at least four years younger than the defendant for drug transactions.
Reed entered his not guilty plea in court Friday.
