Two men suffered stab wounds in Rancho Santa Margarita, but the bloody victims refused to help deputies in a hunt for the attacker, authorities said Tuesday.

The double stabbing was reported at 11:54 p.m. Monday in the area of Taos and Milagro, according to Lt. Nathan Wilson of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

The men, who suffered non life-threatening wounds to their upper bodies, were taken to a hospital for treatment, Wilson said.

He said that the victims were not cooperating in the investigation, and no information about a suspect was immediately available.

No other details were immediately available, and officials declined to speculate over the reason the victims refused to provide deputies any information about the attack.
