A man was taken into custody Wednesday on suspicion of cutting another man with a knife during a fight in Anaheim, police said.

Officers responded to the fight at 1:47 a.m. in the area of Alameda Avenue and Aladdin Drive, where two men were found fighting and one of them had suffered a minor laceration to his back, said Anaheim Police Sgt. Daron Wyatt.

The two men were described as acquaintances who were arguing about a personal dispute when the fight turned physical, Wyatt said.

During the fight, the 25-year-old man produced a knife and inflicted the laceration on the 26-year-old man’s back, Wyatt said.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with a minor injury, Wyatt said. The younger man was detained and will likely be arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, according to Wyatt.
