The Orange County Health Care Agency announced Monday that a 900-gallon sewage spill resulted in a closure of ocean access in a section of Dana Point Harbor.
The closure is on the north side of the west basin in Dana Point Harbor at Baby Beach, Youth Dock, Guest Dock, and A through C docks, the agency reported.
The spill was caused by a blockage in a sewer line operated by the South Coast Water District, according to the HCA.
The affected ocean water area will remain closed to ocean water-contact sports for a minimum of three days, pending the results of follow-up water quality monitoring meet acceptable standards.
