Three suspects robbed a Fullerton senior care home at gunpoint, authorities said Friday.
A female knocked on the door of the residence at 11:10 p.m. Thursday at 116 West Las Palmas Drive, Fullerton Police Sgt. Jon Radus said.
Thinking it was a late-night delivery, a caregiver opened the door and two thin masked men about 6 feet tall burst inside, Radus said. One had a shotgun and the other had a handgun.
“They ordered everybody onto the ground at gunpoint and demanded money,” Radus said. That included four patients in their 90s.
The suspects barricaded one caregiver inside a closet as they searched the home in a residential neighborhood, he said.
The suspects took the car of one caregiver, described as a blue 2002 Volkswagen Jetta, California license number 7WFP278, Radus said.
None of the victims was seriously injured, he said. Two caregivers suffered some minor bruising.
