Stolen purses, backpacks found in Anaheim home; 2 arrested

A vehicle burglary in Fullerton led officers to search to a home in Anaheim, where they found a cache of stolen purses and backpacks, police said Monday.

Officers dispatched about 1:30 a.m. Sunday to 150 W. Santa Fe Ave. regarding a report of a vehicle burglary and a stolen vehicle were led on an investigation that took them to Anaheim, the Fullerton Police Department reported.

With the assistance of the Anaheim Police Department, Carlos Ramirez, 25, and Jacqueline Chavez, 23, were arrested at a residence in Anaheim on suspicion of auto theft, vehicle burglary, and conspiracy.

And a search of that home turned up stolen property belonging to people in both Orange and Los Angeles counties.

Police said the investigation was continuing.
