Two workers suffered electrical injuries Thursday while tending to an elevator at a hotel in Garden Grove.
The injured workers were “working on power to a freight elevator” about 9:40 a.m. at the Hyatt Regency Orange County in the 11900 block of Harbor Boulevard, according to Capt. Thanh Nguyen of the Garden Grove Fire Department.
Hotel guests had been evacuated by the time the first engine company arrived, Nguyen said.
“Crews confirmed there was no fire, and isolated the problem to the electrical work, which initiated a fire alarm,” the captain said.
Paramedics treated the workers, who were in stable condition when they were taken to a hospital for further evaluation, Nguyen said.
