A sewage spill forced the Orange County Health Care Agency’s Environmental Health division to temporarily shut down the harbor water area at Sunset Aquatic Marino and Portofino cove at Huntington Harbor in Huntington Beach Saturday.
The spill of about 3,600 gallons was caused by a blockage in a sewer main line owned by Anaheim, according to the health agency.
The affected area will remain closed to ocean water contact sports until the results of follow-up water quality monitoring returns to normal levels, according to the health agency.
