At least one person was killed in a crash in which a vehicle caught fire on the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway Friday morning in Seal Beach.

The crash was reported at 1:49 a.m. near Seal Beach Boulevard, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The vehicle crashed into a sign, causing the vehicle and the sign to catch fire, according to a report from the scene.

At least one person died at the scene, according to the CHP.
