A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after he smashed through the gate of an Irvine apartment complex and slammed into a row of parked cars early Sunday.
Rafael Suarez crashed his Jetta through the gate of Montecito Vista apartments in the 4000 block of El Camino Real, Irvine police spokeswoman Kim Mohr told the Orange County Register.

Four cars and a truck were damaged by Suarez’s car.
Suarez was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, Mohr said.
No injuries were reported.
