A second-alarm fire in a Laguna Niguel condominium complex was extinguished by 40 Orange County firefighters Monday but damaged four units and displaced several people.
The fire was reported at 3:35 a.m. at the complex in the 2800 block of Sorrento, said Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Carlos Juerta. The first arriving units saw heavy smoke and flames coming from the attic of one unit, he said.
The fire was put out, he said, and no injuries were reported.
But four units were damaged by flames, smoke or water, and 20 people were displaced, according to reports from the scene.
