Two units of a Costa Mesa apartment complex were damaged by flames, authorities said Monday.
The fire was reported at about 8 p.m. Sunday in the two-story complex at 1939 Wallace Avenue, Costa Mesa Fire Department Battalion Chief W. Kershaw said.
The fire started in Unit 107 and spread up to Unit 207, Kershaw said. The six nearby units were evacuated.
Those two units sustained major damage, he said. The residents of those units went to stay with family or friends, as did residents of four other units left without electricity.
No civilians or firefighters were hurt, Kershaw said.
