A 28-year-old man appears to have died accidentally while working on his car on Christmas Day in Westminster, police reported Tuesday.
Juan Carlos Reyes of Westminster was working on his car about 1:30 p.m. Monday when it fell off a jack and onto him, according to Westminster police.
The accident happened at the Cinnamon Creek Apartments at 15123 Brookhurst St., police said.
When police arrived, residents were trying to pick up the car’s front end, which they did with help from the responding officer. They pulled the victim out from under the car and attempted to revive him, but he was pronounced dead later at an area hospital.
