Two restaurants in the Bella Terra shopping center in Huntington Beach were evacuated Saturday after receiving a threat, authorities said.
It happened about 6:15 p.m. at the California Pizza Kitchen and Islands restaurants in the parking lot of the center at Beach Boulevard and Edinger Avenue, Huntington Beach Police Sgt. J. Goodspeed said.
The California Pizza Kitchen called to report the threat, Goodspeed said. Both eateries voluntarily evacuated patrons.
Huntington Beach police and the Orange County Sheriff’s Department were at the restaurants investigating the threat, he said.
