A 43-year-old man was behind bars Thursday on charges of sexually assaulting a woman at gunpoint in San Juan Capistrano several days before Christmas.
Elliot Oneil Jackson is scheduled to be arraigned Feb. 16 on charges of forcible oral copulation, attempted forcible rape, and assault with the intent to commit a sex crime. He also faces sentencing enhancement allegations of the personal use of a gun and use of a gun during a sex offense.
Jackson allegedly attacked the victim, whose name was withheld, on Dec. 21. He was arrested earlier this month on an outstanding warrant in the Long Beach area and was then brought to Orange County last week, according to Orange County sheriff’s Sgt. Mike Tnabe.
