Police Saturday said they have arrested a 53-year-old man in connection with a Jan. 2 bank robbery in Seal Beach and already have his accomplice, a 29-year-old man, in custody on an unrelated crime.

Vincent Edward Wilson was arrested Thursday for a Jan. 2 bank robbery at Chase Bank, 801 Pacific Coast Highway, where he and Chad Richard Dupape allegedly approached a teller window and demanded money. One of the suspects was armed with a large knife and both of them fled northbound on foot, Seal Beach Police Sgt. Mike Henderson said.

Dupape, a 29-year-old resident of Fountain Valley, was already in custody on an unrelated offense, Henderson said.

“The case has been turned over to the Federal Bureau of Investigation for further investigation and prosecution,” he said.

Wilson, a resident of Long Beach, and Dupape were being held in federal custody, according to Henderson.

Seal Beach police detectives asked anyone with information regarding the robbery to call them at (562) 799-4100, ext. 1109.
