A suspect sought in a series of robberies, including four at the Outlets in Orange, was arrested when a witness spotted him after his image was released to the public.

The robberies occurred between 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Friday at the Outlets, located at 20 City Blvd. West, said Orange police Sgt. Phil McMullin. During two of the robberies, the suspect is accused of entering occupied vehicles and threatening the victims with a knife.

The other two robberies involved pedestrians who also were threatened with a knife, McMullin said Wednesday. In each robbery, the suspect took cash, he said.

After the Orange Police Department released surveillance video of the suspect earlier Wednesday, McMullin said viewers of ABC7 helped identify the suspect as 18-year-old Amos Gonzalez of Garden Grove. Detectives arrested Gonzalez around 4 p.m., on suspicion of robbery and he was booked into the Orange County Jail, McMullin said.
