Police received a call at 11:37 p.m. Tuesday about a vehicle being driven around a parking lot and crashing into parked vehicles in the area of Lincoln Avenue and Loara Street, said Anaheim police Sgt. M. John.
Responding officers heard the sound of the vehicle crashing as they approached before the suspect vehicle emerged from a car dealership, prompting a pursuit, John said.
The short chase ended when the suspect lost control and crashed the vehicle into a Chase bank at 555 N. Euclid St., John said. The suspect fled the vehicle on foot and was apprehended shortly after, he added.
The suspect was taken to a hospital for injuries he sustained in the crash, but his condition was not immediately available.
No other injuries were reported.
The man was expected to be arrested on suspicion of burglary and auto theft, John said.
