The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose three-tenths of a cent Tuesday to $3.602, one day after a five-day streak of increases ended with a decrease of one-tenth of a cent.

The average price is at its highest amount since Aug. 28, 2015, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 2.4 cents more than one week ago, 11.8 cents higher than one month ago and 55.5 cents greater than one year ago. It has risen 45.2 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price rose one-tenth of a cent to $3.569, one day after a five-day streak of increases ended when it was unchanged. It is at its highest amount since Aug. 26, 2015, and 3.1 cents more than one week ago, 12.3 cents higher than one month ago and 53.7 cents greater than one year ago. It has risen 45.3 cents since the start of the year.
