The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose 1.1 cents Thursday to $3.712, its highest amount since Aug. 22, 2015.

The average price has increased 10 consecutive days, rising 5 cents, including 1.7 cents on Wednesday, the largest daily increase since Jan. 29, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 3.9 cents more than one week ago, 13.4 cents higher than one month ago and 70.8 cents greater than one year ago. It has risen 56.2 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price rose 1.1 cents Thursday to $3.676, its highest amount since Aug. 21, 2015. It is 4.4 cents more than one week ago, 13.8 cents higher than one month ago and 68.7 cents greater than one year ago. It has risen 56 cents since the start of the year.
