The Los Angeles Dodgers will conduct their 10th annual ThinkCure! Weekend Saturday and Sunday to raise funds to support cancer research and breakthrough therapies at the City of Hope.

The ThinkCure! weekends have raised more than $2 million in research grants for Duarte-based City of Hope, a world-renowned independent cancer and treatment center, to develop therapies to treat breast, prostate, colon, pancreatic, lung and brain cancer along with leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.

While fans will not be able to donate at Dodger Stadium, they can donate at City of Hope’s ThinkCure! website, CityofHope.org/thinkcure.

An online auction of autographed Dodger memorabilia benefiting ThinkCure! will be held from July 23-Aug. 6 at Dodgers.com/auctions. The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation, the team’s charity, will make a $25,000 donation to ThinkCure!

Nine City of Hope physician-scientists and nine City of Hope patients will participate in the ceremonial first pitch before Saturday’s game against the Los Angeles Angels at Dodger Stadium, led by Dr. Michael Caligiuri, the president of City of Hope National Medical Center.

Nine pediatric patients treated at City of Hope will join the Dodgers players for “Kids Take the Field” on Sunday.

ThinkCure! is a nonprofit organization that raises funds for research aimed at finding a cure for cancer.
