Jillian Barberie says she has breast cancer and has an aggressive plan to treat it.
“Results back,” the former “Good Day L.A.” and “Good Day Live” fixture and Fox Sports personality tweeted Thursday. “It’s cancer in my right breast but also it has spread to my lymph node.”
Her treatment plan is, indeed, “super aggressive.”
“Double mastectomy and they said I need chemo for the lymph,” wrote the 52-year-old Barberie, who now co-hosts The Drive Home on KABC-AM 790 and maintains a lifestyle blog. “Thanks for coming on this journey with me!”
Barberie had set out her plans to share her experiences the day before her biopsy.
“Biopsy in the a.m. … Will share the events as they unfold,” she tweeted Monday. “Millions of women go through this daily. I’e got a plan for the results either way. So many women keep this a secret for their own personal reasons. I have decided to document it all and make it public.”
