The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped two-tenths of a cent Monday to $3.433, the fourth consecutive decrease after rising 3.6 cents over the previous three days.

The average price has dropped 2.4 cents over the past four days, including three-tenths of a cent on Sunday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 1.2 cents more than one week ago and 31.4 cents higher than one year ago but 21.2 cents less than one month ago. It has risen 28.2 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price dropped four-tenths of a cent to $3.385, the fourth consecutive increase after a run of five increases in six days totaling 4.7 cents.

The average price has dropped 3.1 cents over the past four days, including a half-cent on Sunday. It is nine-tenths of a cent more than one week ago and 31.1 cents higher than one year ago but 21.1 cents less than one month ago. It has risen 26.6 cents since the start of the year.
