A man was killed Tuesday when a sedan and big rig collided on the San Bernardino (10) Freeway in Pomona, authorities said.
The collision occurred at 12:22 a.m. on the eastbound San Bernardino Freeway over North Orange Grove Avenue, California Highway Patrol Officer Patrick Kimball said.
The man, believed to be 35, was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:31 a.m., Kimball said.
The CHP issued a SigAlert at 12:37 a.m. shutting down eastbound lanes No. 2, 3 and 4 in the area for the investigation, he said. Lane 1 was later closed leaving only the HOV lane open.
