The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose three-tenths of a cent Wednesday to $3.345, the fifth increase in six days.
The average price has risen 1.3 cents over the past six days, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It rose four consecutive days and was unchanged on Tuesday.
The average price is 1.2 cents more than one week ago and 3.9 cents higher than one month ago but 7.7 cents less than one year ago.
The Orange County average price rose four-tenths of a cent Wednesday to $3.315, one day after a streak of three consecutive increases totaling 1.7 cents ended with a decrease of three-tenths of a cent.
The Orange County average price is 1.8 cents more than one week ago and 4.1 cents higher than one month ago but 7.2 cents less than one year ago.
