The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose one-tenth of a cent Wednesday to $3.366, its highest amount since Jan. 4.

The average price has increased seven of the past eight days, rising 1.6 cents, including a half-cent on Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 1.5 cents more than one week ago and 3.3 cents more than one month ago but 9.4 cents less than one year ago.

The average price has dropped 2.5 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price also rose to its highest amount since Jan. 4, increasing a half-cent to $3.319. It has risen seven of the past eight days, increasing 1.7 cents. It dropped three-tenths of a cent on Tuesday.

The Orange County average price is 1.6 cents more than one week ago and 2.2 cents higher than one month ago, but 10.1 cents less than one year ago. The Orange County average price has dropped 3 cents since the start of the year.
